March SpiceExtra Updates:
For the past 5 years we have been making a yearly magazine for branding of Dry Chillies. This year we be will doing magazine named “Colors of Byadgi Chilli” which will be launched on Independence day 15th August 2024
The aim of the magazine will be to elaborate on the importance of Byadgi Chilli in Pickles, Curry powders, famous chef’s recipes, food coloring, Cosmetic products, Pharmaceutical, etc.
Opportunity for IPM Byadgi Chilli:
The Hubli area is known for growing Byadgi chilli in a traditional organic way. This chilli always gets premium pricing due to lower yield but higher quality. But this year due to over flooding from irrigated area, this chilli is trading at very low prices and this has made farmer economic viability unsustainable hence they are not selling.
So if any Spices company is looking for IPM chillies they should use this opportunity for its Europe and USA markets. Presently we are working with leading export house, you can connect us at BasuHampali@gmail.com
